Astraweb super slow

astraweb has been super slow for me today, with intermitent bursts of full speed, but mostly slow. using ssl 6 threads on a 15mbps line- usually can max no problem

It was faster for me earlier, but it's slow now. I've been having this probably fairly often recently.

I'm currently getting max speed on average but it's pretty ragged not smooth as it usually is. On 15Mbit also to San Jose, didn't try EU.

Just checked before posting and it cleared up. Musta woke it up. BTW, getting files from 2/2009.....

it's a lot better now, but still not quite full speed (only getting ~1100KB/sec)

Between the slowness of my (formerly superfast) ISP (OOL) and Astraweb downloads are crawling in at only a few KB/sec, barely breaking into the hundreds.

Fast speeds and great price. I bailed on Astra a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier.

What I do is disconnect all the connections and many times on reconnect it will go faster again.

Same deal here -- I can usually max out my 60Mbit connection
but it appears to be very bursty tonight.

I haven't noticed any speed issues with Astraweb here lately. I get the occasional 1-2Mbps drop but most of the time I am getting 33Mbps+ on my 30Mbps line. I run 20 connections all the time and use both of their servers.

Does anyone notice times where a bulk of your connections disconnect and you can't reconnect for a while. Error stating that I've run out of connections?

I've been getting that a lot these days.

I just bailed on astraweb because it's been acting pretty fickle the last couple of weeks. I switched back to Newshosting which has been great. A solid 5.7MB non-stop. That, I like.

How are incompletes ? Isn't Newshosting Highwinds ?

Sabotage is surely happening and I have the evidence to prove it. There is no way I would never notice. The sabotage does not surprise me. It is funny how it stands out so much. I am not stupid.

I don't believe it is but it could be. I haven't had any problems with anything. Of course I've only been back with them for a couple of weeks so maybe there are that I'm not aware of. NH is certainly running a lot better than Astraweb at this single point in time.

NH is highwinds. I think they honor takedown requests, but I'm not sure.
