Steve has been a friend of mine for over 10 years now and I've been involved in the marathon almost that long. I had to take a break last year and this due to kids and work commitments but as you can see these guys work very hard and run a very professional operation.
Just finished my 23rd NYC Marathon, 21st as Mile Captain and have known Steve as long. I am impressed at his dedication to the marathon. I do hope he outlasts Steve Jobs. They are making progress every day in cancer treatment and perhaps Steve will be one of the people for whom it becomes a treatable chronic disease. We can only hope! -- I support the right to keep and arm bears.
