Re: [HD] Cinemax coming to Ultimate Package said by jimboe:said by film11 : Unlike HBO, MAX and STARZ, Showtime actually listens to their subscribers. See here. Too bad about NEMESIS, but they probably got the same cropped master that Cinemax and HBO insist upon. But it's not a change in policy at Showtime. New films such as The Rock's FASTER, the indie PEEP WORLD, and the excellent DISAPPEARANCE OF ALICE CREED (on The Movie Channel...good movie; check it out if you haven't already) are all in 2.35 OAR. Let the Showtime programming dept know about the NEMESIS error and they probably will rectify it, if they can. |

 | reply to Onedollar I am resurrecting this thread because I had both the Ultimate Package and I also subscribed to HBO/Cinemax, for $24.99 per month. I haven't followed this issue too much since I already had Cinemax. But this week I got the Verizon email and decided to update myself.
According to this thread the change was active in VHO1 (me) sometime back in November but on the bill I got a few weeks ago I am still paying $24.99 for HBO/Cinemax. The email says "We will change your current HBO/Cinemax subscription to HBO only. Your account will be credited for the price difference between HBO/Cinemax and HBO from the effective date of the Ultimate Package change. Please note you may not see these reflected on your bill for several months." If I understand this, sometime a few months from now I will get a credit backdated to the change date which was apparently November 2011, and then going forward I will pay for HBO only. Am I reading this right?
Has anybody got the credit applied to their bill yet and if so, how much is HBO only? Thanks -- Go Heels! |

(Now, lord knows if NY customers get their typical Look at Me I live in New York discount)
Tarheel - not that this helps you now, but what I did when the change was made in my VHO back in November was I dropped the HBO/Max pack. Went like a day or two, and then went back to add HBO. They were running a 50% off HBO special for 12 months - so right now i'm only paying $8.50/mo for HBO. -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |

Re: [HD] Cinemax coming to Ultimate Package Looks like the offer is still there on Verizon.com but it is bundled with signing up for the Ultimate package. Is it supposed to be for new customers only now? I did an online chat with CS and he told me to go to my account page and see if it showed up there as available for me. Of course it does not since I have HBO already, so I removed it from my account to see if it would give me the option to sign up for it at 50%, but it did not.
It does show up on my account page as HBO only and is priced at $16.99. For that matter it shows I am being charged for three digital adaptors which I have never been charged for and which do not appear on my bill.
JM or kes601, did you add HBO back to your account online or did you have to call CS?
Thanks -- Go Heels! |
