I've switched back to sPriest for my main. Getting FF on my Warrior was fairly easy to deal with since I played Prot. I feel like gouging my eyes out when I am getting locked up by a Rogue and CS'ed by a Mage on him...Dispersion, rocket boots, PS, and Gobbo jump only get you so far.
Edit: And for the second poll, depending on your composition, I would suggest CC the Pally and FF the Lock. Like it was mentioned above, hPally self heals are stupid.
i've went back to fury for twos and having more success. i attribute it to better survivalbility with bloody healing glyph and the mobility is helping as well. and fyi, im usually the focus target as well. partner is a lock.
Basically... I jsut haven't found them fun really since BC and even then thats only because I played disc/sub which 'could' beat any comp.
Now with resiliece being over powered and healers being tuned in pvp to heal 2+ dps attackeing their heal targets, its utterly broken. Seriously a healer dps team that loses to a double dps team is pretty bad, also if its healer dps -vs- hgealer dps GG 45 stalemate..
Every class has a silence or stun. Priest don't. They only have a fear (which almost every class can get out of) and a casted mind control. This is why priest usually go down pretty instantly and they are the main focus targets for most comps. Double dps will wreck about any healer/dps team in 2s due to the CCs and silences that all dps classes have now. Usually the only comp that can stay alive fairly easy against 2 dps comps is anything with a pally healer. The gg bubble. =p This isn't always a 100% garuntee either as the pally can be silenced before the bubble.
And Dispersion can be used to reduce incoming damage by a metric shit ton.
And Mind Blast crits will stun.
And Mindflay can slow.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I hate PvPing on my priest, but if you're going to say something at least get it right. Sure they don't have a flat slow like Hamstring or an Interrupt like kick, but they do have more than a few tools. -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Priests get blown the fuck up because they have a plethora of utility shit...all the things Ada listed are why people FF priests...that and a good shad will melt the faces of most classes.
And gg bubble can be dispelled too, so hPallies CBF when they go against any decent sPriest.
Only real classes that give me fits are Ferals (they give everyone fits though) and DKs. Rogues are more of an annoyance, and Warriors are really limited in what they can do against me with fear and horror plus Mind Blast stuns.
Oh and Ada, you forgot our disarm+stun. Psychic Horror is the absolute shit.
And as you mentioned, being able to chain three Mind Spikes and a instant cast Mind Blast in about four seconds. And then we follow it up with SW:D! -- Lore Nerd. Role Player. Raid Leader. Healing Priest. Slightly Annoying. Also Likes Kittens.
I've had sub 1 second cast times on Mind Spike before...damn GCD holding me back!
I think the best thing about our utility is that PS, Silence, Mind Blast Stun, and PH DO NOT share diminishing returns...I can literally keep someone locked up for a good 20 seconds if they have no trinket or its on cd.
Oh btw my kill target is the mage. I've always had success pressuring a mage first as its extremely easy to force an iceblock and reset all while the shadow priest is still cc'd. Garrotte into a dance, wait for the blink(post garrotte silence)step kidney and they are usually blocked. At which point reset and do it again. Honestly trying to just CC the mage and then tunnel the priest never goes well. The priest mitigates enough dmg that the mage gets out of CC then runs a CC train on 1 of your team and then its over...
This of course is with a double dps team with a rogue. The lack of dispels this comp would have vs the Spriest mage would be prety awful.
