Re: Intermittent email authentication dialog box in Outlook 2010

It has been an ongoing issue, ever since SBC partnered with Yahoo! Nobody has a definitive answer to the problem. Those of us who polled the POP3 servers with an MTA POP3 client never saw the problem without reviewing the client logs. MTA POP3 clients tend to poll the servers on a periodic basis, and the users polled the local POP3 server of the MTA, not the actual Yahoo! POP3 server.

I know others have previously reported problems but I haven't had this strange intermittent issue till the last week or so. It happens pretty consistently now once or twice an hour. I've always had Outlook configured to send/receive every 10 minutes.

This is the error message that gets generated when I don't click the OK button on the popup dialog box that has the user name and password fields filled out. It's slightly frustrating dealing with these random error messages.

Task 'xyz@sbcglobal.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR internal server error (6532)'
