Multi Room dvr- no fix til end of nov?We have the multi room dvr's and the dvr's no longer can communicate with the nas, powered everything down many times but nothing works. Called insight and they say theres no fix until end of nov, until pace sends a new firmware update(end of nov est)
How can the software completely break the system? when it seems like everyone else's dvrs are still working. So we're stuck without the ability to record anything until then.
Anyone else have this issue? |

? Your system was working before and lots of other people's systems are working (including ours). I would have them replace your units until your system works again! The software may correct their problems but your problem has a simpler solution. |

Thanks, a insight tech just showed up (even though they called us back yesterday and said they were cancelling the appointment) and he replaced the nas and everything is working now.
seems like they had some miscommunications internally. |

Yea, whoever said they were canceling the work order probably forgot to do it. |

We lost all our recordings and if i remember correctly i believe we lost all of our series recordings also, we had to go in and set them all up to record again.
I believe the harddrive was dead though, if you are having other issues maybe you wont lose them |

Called insight today about the software problems. The person I talked to said the software update release has been moved to the end of December. |

If you swap the NAS you will lose all recordings, series settings, anything having to do with recordings. The NAS is what you save recordings to the set top boxes just select the channel and tell the NAS to record. If a set top needs replaced you can replace it and save the recording you have set to record with that box |
