Dear Windstream team,

Its extremely frustrating to work all day only to come home and have such poor internet speeds. Its Friday afternoon and I know these speeds will continue until Monday Morning.




I've never been late on a payment and have had my service for years so can you check again on any repairs and see if there is something that can be done to help improve my situation?

Other people on my street have no problems. I have a Windstream tech that lives 1/4th a mile from me and I can only question if he experiences the same problems in the afternoon...

I just received a PM stating that testing has started on some new equipment so fingers crossed that it all goes well and in a few weeks my problems will be resolved....

Come on really, nothing is worse that trying to do something online but you can't because you keep getting frustrated because of speeds like this;

Fingers crossed for a solution soon... At least with 1.5-3mbps I can do some things on the net without getting frustrated but this is ridiculous.




Why has my speeds gotten WORSE??? Its been a steady decline and now I can't even get 1mbps.

I always had good speeds in the mornings so that I could get some stuff done before work but now that seems to be diminishing as well. I always get my 12Mbps in the mornings but over the last week that has not been the case.

This is my speed at 7:30am from a 12Mbps connection;




Can someone please check on this and give any insight as to why now I'm not only getting terrible speeds in the afternoon for several hours but now it appears to be an all day event?

Any information you provide will be greatly appreciated.

speeds at 9:13pm from my 12Mbps connection.




perhaps my modem is broken. I've never gotten speeds this terrible and now it even carries over to the mornings and all day.

Any ideas?

It's 6:19am, there is no way that I should not be getting my full speed or even close to it but I'm not.




I ran 10 test, 3 different servers and all resulted in speeds of less than 3Mbps when prior to Feb 2012 I would always at least get acceptable speeds over 8Mbps until I got home from work in the afternoons around 5pm.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, to improve this issue?

Got word today that the new OC3 line is up and running. Its Friday afternoon at 6:00pm and speeds are great.




I'm crossing my fingers that this is the start of a fresh and new service that will continue to provide satisfactory speeds daily regardless of the time of day.

Going to sign back up to Netflix now and enjoy a movie.

My happiness was short lived. It lasted an hour, its now 7:00pm on Friday evening and I'm back with horrible speed again.




Ill continue to monitor with the hopes of seeing some improvement.

Its 8:18pm and back to great speeds again. I hope the previous issue was just a hiccup. Doing great at the moment.

Just a quick update, my speeds have stayed consistent since I was turned on to the new OC3 line. I've been very pleased since the change as this is what I expect from my ISP.

Thank you Windstream Staff for your continued effort and support to help resolve my issue.

Speeds at 9:51pm on 12Mbps service now;




Best of luck to everyone else experiencing problems and I hope you have success in finding a solution.
