 | reply to michieru I had that desk, too. Don't remember where I got it. I had it years ago, lost it in a fire. The finish held up pretty well in a house fire. I have a picture of it somewhere.. |

 | reply to sedorox I like the backings and they are slightly thicker than paper thin so they hold up well. I really like the desk for the price I bought it for. Just needed a desk to hold a big screen but at the same time didn't occup actual workspace. |

While our apartment (and building) didn't directly have the fire, it was directly on the other side of out wall (outside wall, joining the other building), and we got a lot of fine, fine soot that came in and covered everything.
Underneath on mine, I keep my shoes on the bottom of the one side, CD/DVD spindles, and some other small boxes. On the other side, I have a small draw set that used to hold some electronic components, and under that I have some books and a tackle box used for other components.
Also works really well for my 5.1 speakers
