70GB???!!!

If you are at the same location ... odds are you are being throttled.

Yes I use it at the same location and if this is being throttled do you know if this is going to change when my new month starts ?

The throttling system is supposed to use a combination of a 7 day rolling average combined with real-time tower stats. (ie, the folks who use the most bandwidth on a consistent basis get throttled)

It has no relation to your 30 day billing cycle.

Thanks a lot for that information so If I don't use lot of bandwidth in next 7 days the chances are I might would get my speed back ?

Yes, if you use minimal amount for a few days (could take a week) you should eventually be released, but it will come back soon as you start using it heavily again.

Tip - Try to change the tower you're connecting too throughout the week to split it up a bit once you get released.

How do I change the tower I am connecting too ?

Changing the position/location of your modem can do it.

For me ... I sit essentially in the middle of two towers (Lord of the Rings reference not intended). I have one tower one mile one way ... and another tower one mile the other. I can clearly tell when I get switched (it does not happen very often) to another tower as my speeds drop considerably. I have a feeling the other tower has a lot more traffic. If I turn my modem off and back on ... I usually get back onto the "good" tower and life is good again Hence, it took some fiddling ... but I have the location and orientation of my modem to hit the "good" tower.

That is a good suggestion though ... if I do get throttled ... and I have experienced that too ... it might be worth flipping to the other tower and see if that is better.

I do have last question, How come they can throttle the connection when on there site it clearly states while signing up for plans that there is no present speed caps under the advertisement
