bcroninPremium join:2004-03-27 Hyde Park, NY | Routing incoming call to more than one SIMULRING number I have two SIMULRING-type entries in my incoming call routing to route calls from a specific number to two different phone numbers. I expected that to cause both of those phones to ring when that person calls. It only rings the first one. Is this broken, or am I misunderstanding the functionality? -- bc |

| I just set mine up - I really have never used the feature before. I just got a call and both of the phones I configured rang. I answered the second phone and the first stopped ringing.
Did you enter all 11 digits in both?
Is it possible that your second number has some other call treatment filter on it. I am just brainstorming to see if there is some other possible explanation. |

bcroninPremium join:2004-03-27 Hyde Park, NY | Yes I used all 11 digits for the calling number and both SIMULRING numbers. The SIMULRING numbers are a VZW cell number (which works) and an AT&T cell number (which doesn't). The calling number is another AT&T cell number (i.e. the rule is, when this AT&T cell number calls my home number, SIMULRING it to both a VZW and an AT&T cell number). It is so if my son calls home, both my and my spouse's cellphones will ring. -- bc |

| Can you do normal call forwarding to the AT&T cell? Maybe it is nothing to do with Simul-ring. Can you set up to two VZW phones and have it work?
The numbers I tested Simul-ring to were a TW Telecom Business line and my personal VZW cell. My 'test call' worked for all but the telemarketer that happened to call at that time. |

bcroninPremium join:2004-03-27 Hyde Park, NY | reply to unknvoip Ok, that was it. If I try to unconditionally forward all calls to my home number to that particular AT&T cell, when I call my home number from another line I get a slow busy signal (not fast busy). But the phone was sitting there right in front of me so I know it was not busy. Then I called that phone directly (rather than by calling my home number) and it rang through fine.
So why would VT think that phone is busy when it is not? -- bc |

Can you reach the AT&T line calling directly from your VT line? |
