| AM radio that filters away noise? Is there an affordable AM radio that won't have tons of interference noise, that filters it, such as from computers and such? Sure, no matter what there is going to be noise, but are there any radios designed to reduce the noise from computers and other home appliances? -- Join Teams Helix and Discovery. Rest in Peace, Leonard David Smith, my best friend, you are missed badly! Rest in peace, Pop, glad our last years were good. Please pray for Colin, he has ependymoma, a brain cancer, donate to a children's Hospital. |

| Much easier to place the radio away from noise sources.
Are you like my mom trying to listen to talk shows at night from half a state or a state away? Or are you doing daytime listening to a local high power station? Mostly it is where the radio is positioned and how the internal antenna is positioned. If it is on top of a bad noise source the easiest and maybe only solution is to move the radio if it is that bad. A better radio may help but after a point can only do so much. A decent quality digital tuning radio does stay locked on the station better than the cheaper style knob tuning ones in say a cheap clock radio. |
