Bypass Cisco ConnectHi all, I am setting up a new Linksys E4200 with my Fios. Do I need to use the Cisco Connect software so my new router can work?
Thanks in advance |

Nope. I'd recommend not even installing that. |

So I should just be able to plug the router in, let it get connectivity, and change settings through 192.168.1.x? |

It doesn't need connectivity to the internet for you to get in to it. Connect your computer to the router with the included cat5 cable, turn it on and let it boot up. Then go to 192.168.1.1. I don't remember the default username and password, but it should be in your manual. Then just configure from there. |
