Not an 8-channel modem, but it does show 8 channels set aside. I have seen it change channels after reboots, and the frequencies line up as a set of 8.

This is in Schaumburg, IL on a SB6120.

Does Channel ID 8 mean there are 8 channels?

If so, then 8 channels are here in San Francisco, California

Modem is a SB6120.

Just a reminder allot of D3 modems are only 4x4 capable (My System where I live is limiting to 4x2 at this time) whereas the newer modems are 8x4 so you will see all 8 at the same time with the 2nd generation of D3 modems.

Course there is still a benefit of spreading the demand out.

Which D3 modems are 4 x 2? I thought older D3 modems were all 4 x 4.

I modified my post. Yes the Hardware is 4x4 but the system I live in is limited to 2 even though there are 3.

This doesn't seem right to me since you are receiving freq 549 on both stacks.

Re: Bloomington, IN

It's rather difficult to show 8 bonded channels on a modem that only has the capability of bonding to 4 at a time.

The point, that previous posters have also made, was to show that at least 48MHz is available on a given CMTS.

Channel 2 should be available on 567 MHz (which it actually is, since the modem is currently bonded to channels 2, 3, 6 & 7).

Proves there are 8 DS available, but not necessarily that they have an 8 DS bonding-group configured.

Popped up sometime today. The modem has been up for almost 50 days so it has some errors from a previous outage.
