Re: Current Status: Saturday, November 19, 2011 by N4ST Hulu buffers only a few minutes of video, and buffering and downloading does not work with a live webcam. It depends on your application. I tend to download more than my daily average on some days and then compensate by downloading less on other days. HughesNet's nanny FAP would be constraining for my usage. We will have to wait and see all the particulars for Viasat-1, but the rumored 12 Mbits/sec download speed has the potential to fry some HughesNet bacon.

| Yeah, that won't work with Hulu or Netflix, I aready tried with Hulu and have read about the way Netflix does it. Annndd I don't know that it will work with Blockbuster if you are streaming to the computer but the DVR go's ahead and downloads the whole movie with it paused probably because it stores the movie on the DVR for I think 30 days or something to that affect. I would rather watch it on my HD television anyhow, lol.

Could you please elaborate? I have been told by WB tech that all downloads, streaming included counts as a daily use.
Also I hear for the first time that the downloads on 30/31st of the month does not count as a usage, is this true?
I have WB with 17G limit. First month we (two computers) rack up 25G. After punishment, we managed to stay on 50% for three months, but it is tight maneuvering.

| Thats not my quote, spice said that. You are correct though, everything you download counts toward your allowance and streaming is a download.

As of October 31, 2011, the Wildblue FAP meter still flat lines on the the 30th and 31st of the month. No usage is included on those days. The WB FAP meter has been doing this for years. You can test it on November 30, 2011.
