Maybe a passlock problem. TrucK does not start and does not seem to be getting any fuel to the engine. I replaced the fuel pump and no start. does not even try but will try with either.. Any insight appreciated. 2006 chevy colorado POS with 4 cylinder engine. When key turned on all warniing lights on. when turning over security and check engine light on. Anyone with similiar year gm care to see if security light is on an there vehicle when turning over the engine. Also any insight to similiar issues GREATLY appreciated. only code is p449 which i dont believe is related.
I didnt try the relearn key as the truck is at my sons house. But yes i used a code reader and the only code was 449. Which if i researched correctly is a vacuum leak at the fuel tank. When i first attached the code reader it said zero codes but was pulling the 449 later. I ruled out anything fuel pump related at this point because the pump is replaced and gets good fuel pressure. It just doesnt seem to get any to the cylinders. I also pulled one of the coils and put the plug in it and it didnt seam to have spark. But im not sure on that one as it doesnt make sense to me that it trys to start on either if it doesnt have any spark. Is it possible for all four coils to go bad at the same time? Im arriving to no fuel to the cylinder because when i pull the plugs they are bone dry after i tryed a good 15 minutes to start it. Am i correct on assuming the plugs should at least be wet if they are getting any gas? Especially if i wouldnt have spark. Its like the computer just has it in lockdown mode and i was thinking passlock is somehow engaged and not resetting like its supposed to do. I know how to disable passlock if its not engaged but not sure if the computer wont reset it what to do.
