analogs poor quality

How come comcast analog channels are so bad? Before they went all digital analogs were in good shape. Now there are always snowy.

If they are showing snow, then your signal is weak. Going digital shouldn't affect the analog quality. Maybe some wiring changes, either in your house or your area, caused the signal reduction.

So digits can do well on a "weak" signal? Cause only the analogs are snowy all others fine.

Digital will look good with a weak signal, until it gets too weak. Then it will start to pixelate or drop out completely. It's more or less a sharp cliff, whereas analog will just get snowier and snowier.

Most digital boxes can work well with the digital channel signal between -15dBmV and +15 dBmV (as long as SNR is good), just like a cable modem. That's a 30 dB dynamic range.

Many TV's start looking snowy below 0 dBmV and some start having tuner problems above +10 dBmV. That's a 10 dB dynamic range.
