Re: [BB PB Apps]For Kims Playbook + discussion I haven't had the PB crash my router yet, but I'll have to watch for any odd behaviours. |

This was an old version of Tomato (1.13) that should probably have been updated long ago as a matter of routine. Still, the point remains that nothing else ever crashed it in five or six years. It's on a UPS and is never shut down, and never had to be. |

| reply to andyb Cut the Rope HD is now available for PlayBook. This app is up there with Angry Birds. Looks like RIMS gamble is starting to pay off. -- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. - Albert Einstein |

I bought 2x16 GB for $199. I wish I waited, because the 32GB for $249 (Boxing Week) and the 64GB for $299 would be much better value - especially for loading movies on for the kids.
The 16GB is great, I'll just have to change the movies more often. |
|
Wolfie00My dog is an elitistPremium join:2005-03-12 kudos:4 | That's pretty much it -- the 16 GB is ideal for most general applications, unless you're heavily into movies or have an enormous amount of high-bitrate music. When it comes to books and documents, just as a comparison, the Kindle has a total of 2 GB memory of which only around 1.5 GB is available to the user, and it still can store some 1400 books. How quickly we forget just how big 16 GB really is -- in part thanks to Microsoft which nowadays demands almost that much just to run Win-Doze! |

| reply to BigSensFan Thanks for that link, PB (QNX) 2.0 looks very promising. This is what they should have had before releasing the PB in the first place. They fixed the things that should have been their before anything else: 1. Email 2. Calendar 3. Predictive and contextual spelling.
I'll be interested in seeing if I can navigate the PB with the iPhone.
BTW: I downloaded Splashtop Streamer...works brilliantly. -- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. - Albert Einstein |
