[Help Me] Dlink dir2310

Hi all,

Have a 2310 router with a problem that is bugging me. It is a friends router and am trying to fix it long distance.

the problem is when the router is accessed to set it up it comes up wanting a binary file. I have had them do a reset numerous times. It will not come up to the log in page. What is it looking for? And what can be done to fix it.

Any and all help needed for this one.

TIA,
MnR

It's looking for the firmware which is usually a .bin file.

Hi Airwolf,

Question is how do you get it to stop looking for the Firmware update?

The current firmware could be borked which will need a new one installed or the router is gone kaput.

Up load or down grade the next firmware to fix the problem.
