| Black Friday! - Blocknews / Usenetnow / Frugal Usenet Since we started Usenet Black Friday 2 years ago we have had great success with it so here we are, back for the third year in a row.

After Black Friday, the holiday pricing will run through Christmas.
I will give one little tidbit though. The retention of Frugal Usenet is increasing to 300 days for all users. I am sure this will be a welcomed change to customers of that service.

As stated above, if you do not mind paying up front for it, $48 is a better deal. A lot are just more comfortable paying month to month though. To each their own though.

If you're in the market for a newsgroup provider, swintec offers a very good product at a terrific price with outstanding support. I no issue saturating my 70 Mb/s internet connection at home using 20 threads.
Take the monthly or 6 month deal, you won't be disappointed.

This should be fixed. It was for new "accounts" not necessarily customers but quite a few were writing to add new purchases to there existing accounts that it was just easier to make it available to current users.

We had allocated a certain amount of GBs for Blocknews at $6.99 and based on years passed that SHOULD have lasted until the end of the year but they got wiped out by last night. Quite impressive! So I suppose, to answer your question, yes it sort of turned into a Black Friday sale unintentionally so now the price you see for all three services is through the end of the year.
