High # of CRC errors in less than 24 hours

Our DSL service was knocked out in both TS Irene and the october snowstorm and ever since, i've noticed the modem getting a high number of CRC errors in a short time.

I got the Motorola 3347-02 and i've pulled up the error count and the uptime to show you what I am talking about above.

Ironically it seems to occur randomly, some days it's normal, other times it's like what you see above, in this case it got 8000 downstream errors in only 3 and a half hours. The other half is that there are less errors on the upstream which is weird but the connection seems normal though which is a good thing.

I'm wondering if those storms were to blame, I saw trees on wires nearby after the storm which may have done some damage, maybe water in those boxes where the line drop comes from, who knows.
