Re: Please rate my system A PCIE power connector will look like the six pin end of this product

If your power supply only has one, then you will need a cable like the one linked to adapt another wire into another one.
The 6870 requires two. You cannot run it without both connected. | | | reply to RichardCubbs I do no even see one of those inside my rig. Would a photo of the inside of the right help better determine if I'm just missing them? | | | reply to Gordo74 said by Gordo74:said by htfubroski :You asked what everyone thought. This is all fact, your out $700 okay, now you want a vid card for what? $200? now more ram? say 250... so now we have 700 + 250 950$ for a OLD OLD system, 950$ for a system I replaced over a year ago... replaced it with a system that destroys it... for 1200? Where are you getting your RAM? Anything other than Sandy Bridge 8GB single sticks are not that expensive. Hell, 16GB (4x4GB) can be had for $80 not even on sale. 200... + 50 for ram. I was just adding as I was going. Do the math... I gave 200, then 250, I took 700 + 250 and got 950... not 1k+.
As for the OP, first off it is NOT a quad core, second, I don't care what LUCK you are having, the link clearly shows that skrym is CPU limited. You do not state screen res, settings, FPS, nothing just "good" maybe you have no idea what "good" is or you are playing on a iphone screen res.
What is the point of asking to rate something, and then bitching at the truth, EVERYONE told you on the first page to return it if possible, I took the time to show and explain why and you are complaining whatever. You will not be able to run the latest and greatest games for quite some time with that rig, you really just do not want to hear it sucks. The rig is already 6 years old.
Not to mention I only asked how many times for PSU info so we could get a card sorted out that I still do not see any PSU info posted. However my advice would still be toss the system, try to scam sell it again, whatever and build new.
Newer games, told ya, I think, load up world of tanks lol, won't have the eye candy cause the CPU can't take it but... free as well.
I am gona guess the PSU is crap, anyway due to the lack of sleeving... take the damn side off... get the info off the psu for the 4th time. | | | reply to RichardCubbs »[optical] Video Card Installation
