I am trying to integrate SABnzbd into NZB.su and it doesn't seem to be working. At first I thought I was doing something wrong with the port forwarding (even though I have a good amount of experience with configuring my router) so I completly bypassed that and went direct to modem. Here is some info on my set up:
1. Modem is a stand alone SB6180.
2. PC is custom built desktop with a Asus P7P55D board running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. AV is NOD32 AV 4 (disabled).
3. Gathered and filled in info below into NZB profile. Url: Http://72.x.x.x:8085/ Key: 995467xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Type: Nzb Api Key Priority: Normal Storage: Site
4. Tried in Safemode with network incase it was some background service.
5. Tried different browsers; Chrome, FF, and IE.
Questions:
1. Should I try with the full API? I made sure in the SABnzbd that the box for "Disable API-key" was checked, but tried it with unchecked too.
2. Does integration work with a free account?
3. Does it matter if NZB.su are in the same window, different tab? Should they be in different browsers? I wouldn't think so but...grasping at straws.
4. Is saving config to site the way to go? Haven't tried saving it to a a cookie since if anything that seems more restrictive (and problematic)
5. Any suggestions on things to try?
Thanks! |

| Let me try and get a handle on what you want to do.
Do you want to click on an NZB file and have it pop into SABNZB? Then you want a firefox addon -- nzbdstatus.
Do you want to automatically download items? Then you want an RSS feed -- »nzb.su/rss |

As I understand it, nzb.su offers integration of your SABNZB API key, public IP and port to send the file remotely. Let ms copy pasta some info from the site. I would give you a link, but everything is behind a login.
Benefits of SABnzbd Integration In this tutorial we will cover how to enable your SABnzbd client to allow direct interaction with the NZB.su website. This interaction will allow you to send NZB's to your SABnzbd queue with just one click!
The default setup for most SABnzbd users involves downloading an NZB file from a provider like NZB.su and saving that file into a watched folder where SABnzbd will pick it up. However, as part of every users account NZB.su provides a much nicer way to queue up your downloads.
Throughout the NZB.su sections you will see a set of small icons along with each download; the third icon in this set is designed to link to your SABnzbd installation.
With SABnzbd integration clicking on one of these icons will instruct NZB.su to communicate with your local SABnzbd client to queue this download. This will also trigger the SABnzbd icon turning green:

| The documentation looks pretty straight forward: »nzb.su/content/5/
I created an account and tested it with my SABNZBD install. It worked with a standard (non VIP) account.
1) Confirm that you can see your SABNZB install from "outside". IE try it at work, a neighbor, etc
2) Make sure the Disable API is not checked. Configuring your system without a key on the internet may lead someone to adding random shows to your Queue. IE the entire run of Barney.
3) It shouldnt matter which tab/window/etc SAB is running on
4) Here are my settings in nzb.su's profile:
SABnzbd Integration:
Url: http://24.XXX.XX.XXX:8880/sabnzbd/
Key: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Type: Nzb Api Key
Priority: Normal
Storage: Site
Oh yeah almost forgot make sure you're clicking on the send to SAB icon and not the Download icon. |

My only source is my cell phone with wifi off, so I can't try a ping test, but still. I think it has something to do with it not being installed on the same hard drive as my OS so the /directory isn't pointing to the correct place. Either way I am done troubleshooting it. Its really not that much harder to just download the NZB and then upload it. Thanks for the help though! |

Optimus2357Premium join:2010-11-21 West Warwick, RI kudos:1 | Well I figured out what the issue was, and it wasn't a network issue at all. During install, you have to make sure to check "I want this PC and every PC on my network to be able to use SABnzbd" otherwise isn't listening to port 8080, or any port, unless it's coming from 127.0.0.1 AKA localhost. At least thats what I am gathering. Eitherway, I re-installed, clicked that box, and it worked. |
