I know that... That is not my intention at all... I am a first generation immigrant to Canada, married to a different nationality woman, and my daughters are born here...My brother in law is dating a Persian (Iranian Muslim) girl, and by no means am I a bigot... I left my country of birth, not because of my financial situation, but because I wanted my children to be a same class citizens as anyone else. Not to be better or worse on basis of who(and what) the parents are.
BTW I don't have to Google it, I am following it closely... |

 | reply to miakica I don't believe it's an Islam thing so much as it's some kind of perverse cultural thing where family honour and reputation trumps everything. -- "It's all coming down!!" - Mike Holmes |

 | That kind of thinking is seriously backwards
how do people expect to be respected in this country if they do the same backward thing they did in their old country?
I am immigrant from asia and I came here for better live and i enjoy it, i do not do the same stupid thing my father and grandfather did
this country is too forgiving and afraid to offend everybody. they need to send a strong message. but they are too chickenshit. |

1 edit | reply to miakica I live near Kingston and have been to Kingston Mills many times. I've followed this case since the bodies were first found.
To answser your question, he got his first wife into Canada by saying she's his cousin.
Cases like this make me wish we still had the death penalty. One thing that is really irritating me is how the mother is choosing to be out of the courtroom when certain evidence is shown, today it was autopsy photos of the victims. She helped killed them, she should BE MADE to see what she did! None of them should be excused from seeing any of the evidence. And yes, I firmly believe they are guilty and I'd bet good money guilty verdicts will come down. |

| I just wish we had really strict immigration policy. Make sure people we let in are who they are, and will be a productive member of society. And enough of this politically correct crap. You either adapt or go back. I'm sick of catering to every whim of these newcomers.

Answer me this, if Islam didn't exist, do you think the males would have done this?
If you can't illustrate that they would have done it either way, then I can't comprehend why you have any support of Islam.
I have plenty against Islam, as well as Christianity, and I am fully aware they are not the only religions with lots of horrible acts to their credit.
I also know this. My conscience would not suffer for a second deleting those worthless humans from society. Whatever response they get in court will no doubt fail to deliver what they deserve.
Does that make me no better than them? Not even close. I also regularly discard trash during the day. |

Do you remember right at the beginning there was a local (artist or writer) woman who said she had seen them at the Kingston Mills Locks earlier that day or the day before. The news article said that the police didn't believe her. I wonder if she was brought in as a witness? I couldn't find the news article, but I remember it was in the Whig Standard. -- "Whenever they invent something that's moron proof, someone comes by and invents a better moron."

There are plenty of other Canadians that have killed family members, and were not Islamic. Normally it's a brief news snippet but this one's big news for some reason. Nobody blinks when it's an Asian or Greek, but when someone can reference a religion even when it's meaningless, there's suddenly a huge immigration problem. |

Yes, I remember that. It has been established earlier in the trial they were there that day, but offhand I can't remember who testified as to that. |
