| [CATV] Weekly EAS Tests? 3 times within 15 minutes? If EAS tests are supposed to determine if the EAS works right, what determines if the tests work correctly?
In a strange set of events, I've been awake and watching TV for 4 "Weekly" EAS tests within the last 24 hours, 3 of those happening within a 15 minutes period in the last half hour...
Is the testing system broken or does somebody have an itchy trigger finger on the test button? Back when I was in radio in the 90's, all of the EAS tests were manually triggered. Are they still like that? Are they automated now? Anyone know? |
