Ananac Billing Drives me nuts - refuse to refund DSL

I had no internet connection a week after I moved to the new address so I decided to cancel the service and switched to another service provider, cause my work is highly dependant on the availability of internet. Acanac Billing refused to refund the service fee for the remaining term (4 months) and here is the reply:

"Please note it is our policy and we cannot ignore our rules, in the middle of the term we should calculate used months based on monthly price 39.95$+tax, as my colleague said before you used the service for 8 about months, so nothing remains for refunding.

We can only refund 4*8 + tax for 4 months of Dryloop service to your card,

Please reply this ticket back and provide us with the last 4 digits of your credit card for confirmation, then we will take care of your request.

We look forward to hearing from you,
Best Regards,
Acanac Inc.
"
They don't seem to care the cause of the cancellation. As long as you cancel the service, it is your fault!!! So don't cancel the service even though it does not work!!

That was your choice to go with another provider. If you do not stay with us for the year when you are on the promo then yes they calculate time with us at regular price.

Unfortunately we sit and wait to for the installers to give us a install date. It does get frustrating for both the cx. and the agents as they would like nothing more than to help the cx. out and get them up and running.
If you would like to pm me with your user name, phone number or something i can pull your account up with I will have a look to see what is happening. Or even a ticket number.

This is the reply I got today from Billing:

"moving with new address

Hi,

We cannot act against our regulations,

For more information please visit »www.acanac.ca/User-Agreement.html

"Should a client forget to terminate before the renewal date, clients will be required to pay each additional month of service (at the monthly rate) and the remainder will be refunded."
Best Regards,
Acanac Inc. "

It is a joke, this is not even my case!!! I guess the reply is automatic. Nobody in this company cares about the service delivered to the customers. They just want your money!

What do you mean it is not your case? You DID ask to cancel because you could not wait for the tec to install the service and they are telling you that until the date you sent in for cancellation they will be charging you at regular rate. What am I missing here? I asked you to register for the board if you haven't, and pm me with information on your account so I can look it up and see what is happening but you have not done that. If you want help I need that information.
