| NH Pricing is going up I received our annual holiday present today from Metrocast.
The VIP Package I have is going up $5.00/mo, and HBO is going up $1.00/mo.
On the bright side, your first 2 cable cards are now FREE (previously $2.95/mo per card) and cable card 3+ are now $1.95 each / mo.
They are getting a multi room DVR ($9.95 / mo + $11.95 for each receiver)
Cable High Speed Ultra internet is going to 25MB down and 2 up (yay)
We are getting a few new HD channels: MLB network HD, Spike TV HD, Comedy Central HD (finally), Tru TV HD (Great, now I can watch cops from 1990 in HD - not), Nick HD also.
No Fox Soccer HD, HBOGO, or WatchESPN. |

Pomfret Center, CT | Got my letter today and see that yes the rate is going up 5 bucks and while no one likes that I am getting a 39% increase in my Internet speed and 7 more HD channels as I only watch HD and love to download things it would seem not a bad deal for me. |

My letter sasy "beginning in January, Metrocast will offer Internet speedsup to 25 Mps"
So I am going to hope they have some poor tech that has to stay late new years eve and throw the switch but my guess is they will roll it out to parts of the plant durn the month. |

| Oh ok, that would make sense, I remember when they did that years ago. This last upgrade seemed to take forever before it was actually rolled out everywhere. |

Were any of the existing channels being bumped down to basic? Like last year, NatGeo became basic, instead of HD Ultra.
Also, are these letters posted publicly on the web? I use Autopay, so I think I miss the newest news.

I read the form. NH is paying through the nose. With the new pricing, you are really getting violated. Sorry about that. I know what it is like to be stuck with one company.
CT is a little cheaper. I moved around some expenses, and went back to expanded basic. I now think it is worth it to me.
