Got new IPOD Touch and ISPOT is not working

Two weeks ago I got a new refurbished IPOD Touch 4th generation (old one stopped working and it was still under the warranty).

So after getting this refurbished IPOD I was using it to connect to internet using ISPOT for about 2 weeks without any problems.

And suddenly two days whenever I tried to open a website it would reroute me to m.clear.com page.
I got the same problem a year ago when I got my first IPOD and Clear did not have the new MAC Addresses.

So I think the same thing happens again.
Called their customer support. They told me to download the latest firmware.

So I connected to the ISPOT using my Windows computer and was re-routed to the clear.com (since it is unrecognized device). From there I was able to download the firmware file.

The question is: does it mean the ISPOT got updated with this new firmware?

Another question since the above did not solve my problem: is this problem can be solved by the firmware update or is it up to Clear to get the new MAC addresses into their system?

What should I tell the tech support people? They seem to have no idea about this.

Thanks.

I have experience w/ispots. You should have gotten your firmware from here: »ispotunrestricted.com/2.0/. NOT clear. If the forward on your ispot is too new then the unlock via the link above won't work unfortunatly. The unlock will solve your mac problems, whether you use your laptop and other now apple devices then with the ispot is YOUR decision alone. Hope this helps
