"Touch"

Hadn't heard about this before, from FOX no less:

Touch, from Heroes creator Tim Kring, brings the Return of Kiefer; it's a “preternatural drama in which science and spirituality intersect with the hopeful premise that we are all interconnected, tied in invisible ways to those whose lives we are destined to alter and impact.” [...] it debuts with a "special" preview after Idol on Wednesday, January 25 before its series premiere on Monday, March 19.

Re: "Touch"

Might do well, though I'm not interested in it [based upon reading the description]. I'll give it a try though.

I have to say that the trailer was impressive.
I just hope it's not like Kring's Heroes where the beginning is great and then the series turns to crap.

Of course, I'll have to watch.

Yeah,…..

Read the description and thought “meh” I would likely give it a try but doesn’t sound all that spectacular IMO. The trailer looks very promising though. Although not necessarily an original concept. The cast looks good.

Bottom-line, I’m looking forward to given it a shot.

Trailer is interesting. I like the concept, but it reminds me a bit of Knowing.

It does interest me a lot so I will be watching it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

That's the movie.
I was trying to remember the name of the movie where the kid wrote down all of those numbers. It was driving me crazy!
Thanks!

Anyone catch the "sneak-peek" pilot episode?

I thought it was okay, but not as good as the trailer made it out to be. There were some really hokey moments with the kid trying to get the oven for his family's bakery.

Kiefer Sutherland is pretty good in it, but then again, the guy is a good actor, so it would take some really half-assed writing to make him look bad.
I remember seeing the cute social worker somewhere before, but can't remember where.

I'll probably keep watching when it starts it's regular run in late March.

Yeah. I was trying to remember too. I think she looks like the woman who played the cop recently on 90210 who was working with Navid to catch his uncle, but I can't be sure.

Since I am a sucker for connectedness, I loved the pilot. I think this was far better then any episode of Heros and could be the jewel in Kring's tiara. As long as the network don't FUBAR it some how.

Agreed. One of the reasons I loved the movie Crash so much.

I watched this last night and thought it was very good. I'm definitely looking forward to the series, but disappointed it doesn't start until March .

When the father gets to see his daughter on the big screen in Tokyo, it threw me over the edge. I was definitely sucked in at that point and got a bit teary-eyed.

I agree, I totally fell for the schmaltz factor And I too like the whole "we are way more connected than we know" aspect as well.
