| I remember Bohack's from when we'd come east to visit relatives in Ridgewood and Forest Hills when I was a wee lad. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

That whole area block radius was 'the' after school hangout Stark's Chicken too (but we digress) |

| I thought so. I remember Stark's. Do you remember the name of the kosher takeout that was down 108th at 64th Road, next to The Center? We only knew it as Paula's. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

1 edit | hmmm...Moyna & Mishna's? No..that can't be it - that was 65th Ave & 108th. 65tth Ave had a few...
You mean by the Hallmark Center? On 108th or on 64th..it's ringing a bell..but unsure - maybe Tikvah's?
Chosen Garden was there too (Chinese Kosher) - but not older - been there about 14 years now, I think

..that happens here a lot
Also forgot to say earlier..if you know the brand you want - and ask your local market, usually they'll try to stock it for you if they can |

1 edit | reply to lilhurricane That's on the other side of the street and the next block. Lemon Drop and Chai used to be a Daitch. I can't for the life of me think of what the Jewish place at that corner of 65th was...another deli takeout but also had sit-down. *Wait...I'm having a senior moment...now I can't remember if it was Stark's, or was Stark's up 108th, next to the aquarium store across from Bohack's? *
I was looking on Google Street View and can't believe how low-rent that shopping area has become. All those rollup gates! -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

I remember someone ahead of me in line at the Center winning a million dollar lottery...the Center closed for 4 days with signs all over their window. Guess the woman took care of them |

| Ah. The brain's having a little trouble thinking back 45-50 years.
There used to be a kids clothing store by the Key Food. I remember being taken there when my folks had to buy me some things because my suitcase didn't arrive at JFK with us. I even took my kids there a few times when they were tykes in the 70s. There was also a neat, old-fashioned German deli next to it that I also stopped in when I was in the neighborhood. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

| reply to squirrel83 It could just be the demographics of where you are, or the stores you have. All of the chain stores I have ever shopped at around the country over the years carry it. Small mom-and-pop ones may not, or might only carry Nestle or Yahoo since they have limited space and only carry what they know will sell. -- "Dance like the photo isn't being tagged; love like you've never been unfriended; and tweet like nobody is following." |

| reply to DC DSL Whole chocolate milk is easily available in all stores around here, but, this is dairy country. The brands tend to be local or regional dairies, though.
Just a note... folks, "Yahoo" is an Internet Search Engine. "Yoo-hoo" is a chocolate beverage (not chocolate milk) that's been around since 1925. There's a big difference between the two. |
