| False advertisement with Acanac: Free static IP for Cable On the website when you are ordering there's mention that free static ip upon request for VPN. I did the request on Nov 16 2011 but nothing after putting in 3 request. Now I get a replied back that they don't offer the service. This really piss me off since they advertise as such then gave me the run around ( waiting for half hour at a time when calling in). I think I will report them on consumer affair website. |

| MLPPP supports static IPs(1, 6 for business), although you need at least 2 DSL lines at the moment, you could probably have a MLPPP account with no active DSL lines so it costs $0 a month and then use that login for a static on Cable.
You'll need to use a router that supports cable MLPPP, a TP-LINK 1043ND flashed with fw5's latest beta firmware... if you don't want to worry about a bricked router Acanac can send one flashed with DSL MLPPP, upgrading it to the new cable mlppp firmware takes 30 seconds. |

Did you send email to support@acanac.com and ask for the SSH tunnel and the static ip? yes it does say Up-to 1 Static - VPN Based so not sure why you were told no. |

| Yes i did put in request for static but I was told to send it to static@acanac.com not support@acanac.com though the replied ticket did come from support@acanac.com TSR name Saman. Previously when I had acanac services I did have SSH account. Please inquire with your supervisor why my request is so hard to complete. Thank you. |
