jmh join:2000-12-14 Miami, FL | [General] Are 802.11n modem/routers on the ATT horizon? I try to keep friends/family on stock ATT equipment if at all possible to decrease the amount of time I have to spend supporting them. Got at least 2 that could use 802.11n. Has anyone heard that ATT will be shipping updated equipment some time soon? |

| reply to jmh I received a new Westell NetGear 7550 Gateway with 802.11n and 4 port 1 gig lan built in from ATT as a replacement gateway. The modem on the outside is Westell 7550 but the config and stats page states NetGear. Some where I saw an article that NetGear bought out the cpe side of Westell's business. So far the modem has been great. |

GSTEXEC1Premium join:2004-10-26 Fort Pierce, FL | It was a replacement for the 2wire 2701 gateway. The 2wire was disconnecting and less than a year old and this was the gateway that they sent me. |
|
 | how did u convince them to replace it with that |

| I called in to support and went thru troubleshooting with them. They stated the gateway was bad and needed to be replaced. I asked about the warranty for 1 year and when they checked stated would send a replacement. When it arrived 2 days later it was the Netgear 7550 b90 modem. I was surprised and happy. I always figured that I would get another 2wire. |
