I work for AT&T dsl tech support in the Southeast region. It is true that we are now shipping out new westell/netgear 7550 modems out now. They run on the 802.11b/g/n and are replacing the 2wire modems. If you have a 2wire that's less than a year old I would swap it out. If not then just remember we always try to make the customer happy =D.

Mr. Chun may be correct as it is one of 2 offerings at ATT for ADSL and the 4111N has N capability on board. I would call and ask ATT if it is shipping these yet as they were supposed to?

AT&T hardware support and sales do not seem to know the model number and have no availability info, despite the rumors and ahhhh promises. Sad but true.

Would you happen to know if either of the new routers (Pace 4111n or Netgear 7550) are GIGABIT ethernet rather than 10/100? Thanks.

Thus far the 7550 dosent look like it in real world usage, that would be too good to be true dream if AT&T gave us both N and Gig routers lolz
