Skyrim: glitch on Folgunthur amulet fragment

Is there an auto save close to that point? I have developed the habit of saving every 30 minutes or so due to this exact same problem.

I use a ton of saves, so I'm sure I could go back and re-do that part. The problem is I've put in like probably 15-20 hours since then and I'm not redoing that stuff. Is this amulet a side quest or is my entire game screwed now (e.g. is it part of the main quests)?

I just did this cave/quest. It was part of the college of magic quest but I dont think that was an essential item...? its just an ok amulet in my inventory right now. But since it says its a piece i assumed there was a set or something.

Maybe do the first college quest there and see if it works? I dont think its the main quest though.

I just knocked out the forbidden legend quest the other day. Its not that big of a deal and has no affect on the rest of the main quest. In my opinion the quest may not even be worth your time, takes a good 45min to complete and in the end you get the Grandure ,(may be spelled incorrectly), amulet. It boost your stamina, health, and magica 30 points when worn but you can do better than that if you are any good at enchanting

I dont think it the main quest, does not sound like anyting in the quest line. the main quest line is very short, like 3-4 hours long. 99% of the game is side quest stuff, so you are ok.

It is not part of the main quest. The Garuldur (Garudur?) amulet is like T_dub said, an amulet that gives you +30 to health, mana, and stamina. Not bad early on, but once you have 100 enchanting or just simply being later on in the game, there are much better neck pieces out there.

100 enchanting is essential to being a beast in skyrim. I just gotta finish the assassins questline and get the 3 more dragon masks and 6 more daedric artifacts and im donezo then on to Batman.

Not critical to main quest line - but as noted - maddening none the less! Doing the same quest on 360, but the glitch I'm encountering is after (after!) I went throught the trouble of getting all of the amulet fragments. Now the 2nd stone puzzle door won't open despite having the right combination entered (eagle-eagle-dragon). Just aggravating.

I had that happen on a different quest, where there was supposed to be a door there was just a bunch of rubble. Leaving the cave and entering again cleared it up.
