They cant just start charging you and say "your in" regardless of what you want. I take it you've never purchased a vehicle from a used car dealership then. You will get all sorts of mandatory "fees" when you go through the paperwork. Very common is the mandatory VIN etching that was already done when the car was detailed so you have no option to not have it performed (although ultimately you can refuse to sign the final deal if the charge is not removed.) Scotchguard, extended service plan, gap insurnace, etc all try to get pushed on you as almost mandatory. |
