Request Forums Addressing PRIVACY for various platforms

Every day a new report comes out about a phone or device or app or an electric meter leaking or logging information that was once considered private or sensitive. What about home entertainment devices?

This site can become a great source of info (and capture more eyeballs) by creating such forums.

I think the Security forum covers quite a few of those topics:
»Security

Security is not privacy.

More often than not one must give a program or device access to internet in order to have basic functionality. That covers security.

if the device turns around uses those privileges to transmit sensistive personal data, or if parties are passively monitoring that device that is a privacy issue.

I hope the site owners will benefit from the increasing awareness of just how intrusive or harmless certain devices and platforms can be.

Where would I find out if my droid x has that that complete input logging program, or what data my tv is sending to Samsung, or that appending _nomap to a wireless router name prevents Google from logging it when Google intercepts its communications

Creating forums doesn't put any information in the forums. That comes from people who post information. The logical place people would post such information at this time is here: All discussions of Security and Privacy are welcome here.
