what's up? |

 | I've also noticed some significant latency issues over the past several days here in Lexington. My service (20.0) has otherwise been very solid for the past two years, so something is definitely up. Here's a link to my own line quality test:

I'm just thankful to know I'm not the only one experiencing issues. |

 | reply to Khuong How are things for your today? Here's my test from this afternoon. Things are obviously working much better, but I have mostly noticed these problems late, after 11:00 PM or so.
We'll see what happens tonight.

 | Im glad to hear others are having this problem with Lexington Insight! It seems to be in the evening (after 11pm... through the night) and is better today (wednesday) than it has been the past few days (Monday night was the worst). |

| reply to HardDriver Don't know if it's related to you guys' latency problems (which I've noticed, too), but early this (Thursday) morning, between about midnight and 1:30 or so, I lost my connection altogether several times for 1-3 minutes at a time. Anybody else notice this? Or is my modem/router dying? (FWIW, I'm in the 3rd & Jefferson area ...) |
|
 | reply to Khuong I was just about to report the same disconnects, hardhead! And yes, my latency issues have also resurfaced in these early morning hours. Pings to Google currently fluctuating wildly between 38ms to 415ms.
EDIT: Just had another disconnect after posting this... |

 | reply to Khuong here's my update: »/pingtest/2a38···/2852915
definately something is up with the provider. i lose internet for 10-20 secs every 2-5 minutes through out the days even at 3 am. |

| Yeah, the disconnects continued for me, too, after my post last night ... but since noonish Thursday, things seem to have settled down ... knock on wood ...
Hopefully it was just one of Insight's machines giving up the ghost - but one would feel much better if Insight were paying close enough attention and had enough redundancy to make this sort of thing *much* shorter in duration than this one lasted ... |

 | reply to Khuong Hey guys, are these issues resolved for both of you? I've been out of town for a few days, and returned to the same issue. This time things started to go downhill around 10:15 PM, and remnants continue to persist even until now (it's almost 3:00 AM). The connection has died completely a few times, with pings hovering around the 1000ms mark.
This is getting really old. |

Re: [Internet] what's wrong with my line? Lexington, Ky Been preoccupied the last several days ... but, yes, it's still happening for me, too - except the outages happen randomly now, instead of just late at night.
I've had Insight broadband for a few years now, and, aside from pricing and support issues, the actual connection has been extremely reliable ... until recently. Can't help wondering whether it has anything to do with Time-Warner. It'd really be nice to have some alternative other than Windstream ... |
|
 | My connection has been dropping a bit too.
Made me lose 5 games
I can't wait till verison FiOS come to Kentucky |

 | reply to Khuong I'm back in town for a while, and I've seen all kinds of goofy issues in the past 12 hours. From 25% packet loss earlier this evening with very low latency, to now 1000ms pings to Google. Ugh. Here's my latest test: »/pingtest/8bc9···/2860545
Has anyone called Insight about this?
And why don't I receive proper email notifications to this topic...? |
|
 | reply to Khuong It seems to me like they have severely hampered torrent downloading since about last week. |
