Lafox, IL | Power Outage Anyone experiencing any power outage in the Hoffman Estates/ Schaumburg Area?
I just got a call from my mom and she is having a partial outage.
I looked at the circuit breaker and nothing has been tripped.
Tried to call ComEd and the phone just rings off the hook.
I went to their site to report a partial outage, but I would like
to know if indeed they are having issues.
Called a local electrician and the freegin guy can't come until
next week.

Happened 4 times since mid-September on our block. Squirrels getting fricasseed in a transformer each time. Eventually the wandered out to ass "enhanced wildlife protection." Like Squirrels getting into a transformer is something new?
If these crooks can't maintain their infrastructure and protect it adequately from Squirrels, what the hell good will a smart grid do?

Update:
The Electrician showed up just after ComEd came. The guy looked
at the Breaker box for a minute ans said it was a ComEd issue
and proceeded to charge us $100.

When I was at Clark and Belmont last night, the power went out there too. Pitch black in that neighborhood. Even the red line was on emergency power. |
