If the laptop has a dedicated graphics card, then you are in the right place. At least 1gb ram.

Do you have a model of the laptops you are looking at?

I would not get a integrated card with a 17.3 inch screen. To much to push for the graphics card.

When I traveld a lot for work, I was heavy into wow. I had a 15 inch screen and it did work very well. 17 was nice, but normally when I got home I had a sep. monitor I would plug into.

Point is the 15 inch is ok for gaming. If you go with a 17, you will need to push more money into the laptop.

if I remember, the GTX570M is the one of the better high end cards for laptops right now. But you will spend $1200+ for it. But with x-mas, might find a deal out there if you spend some time and look around!

First off one thread, second off post a budget, and lastly post all the info.

You left out the only that that matters for a "gaming" laptop...

THE GPU!
