I've had MJ for a couple of years now, and it's worked fairly well. Recently I switched from cable to DSL and I'm using a Zyxel Q1000z DSL Router. Since I've switched I've had nothing but problems with making and receiving phone calls. When receiving a call, the caller can hear me but I can't hear them. When making a call, I get a lot of static then MJ drops off the internet. I've spent many hours with MJ support...no solutions there. I'd appreciate any help, on this problem, that I can get. Thank you in advance.
Check with your ISP. This is not an MJ problem, you already stated your MJ was working for a couple of year until you recently switched from cable to DSL. It's likely the DSL router is causing the problem.
I would ask your ISP to send you a DSL modem or provide you with the pass-through settings of your current router so you can put a put a off the shelf router after it.
I have had MJ for a month and ahalf. When receiving a call, the caller can hear me but I can't hear them. Tec suport is no help. I have a DSL modem also.
