I am not over excited about this, I will give it a fair try to all the classes available but my buy/no buy call will come after release.

From what i've heard of this beta it seems way to short to make a call been a while since i stopped playing the diablo franchise.

Eh yeah, I know it's beta but I was really getting bored before I even got close to the skeleton king or whatever.

I pushed through and finished it. Maybe I've just out grown the genre, but it didn't appeal to me like I thought it would.

It doesn't bode well for my long-term enjoyment of the game when it's meant to be grinded over and over again and I can barely sustain gameplay to the first mini-boss.

I can't even quantify why I'm not enjoying it. Too easy, too many magic items and upgrades in the first 5 minutes, crafting seems both easy and very lame...I don't know. We'll see.

Rolled a monk and man this is the same old formula need to keep going but is not looking very good.

While it didn't blow me away, it'll be fun doing quests together with friends on a higher difficulty.

I can't see myself playing this as much as I played D2.

I haven't played the D3 demo yet but I'm already saddened about this game due to all the disapointment I've heard through you guys. Sad face

It's beta, and I have had fun playing it for the most part. I have played through and maxed out a Barbarian, Monk and Wizard now. Initially the game is quite boring until you get to about level 8 or so and gain new abilities. I am finding that I am having a lot of the same problems as melee that I did in D2. My character will sometimes run around in a circle and not attempt to attack the enemy right next to him when I click it.

I am hoping that the demo was made extra easy on purpose to test the Skeleton King encounter and that the game difficulty will be greater once we can choose other modes. I never felt that Oh Shit I'm gonna die now that I did in D2 when going into a new room full of rare baddies, or just a huge number of baddies. I have never used the health potions in game either. Health globes drop much too frequently IMO. My maxed out barbarian has 120 in her inventory.

EDIT:

You know the demo is easy when a guy can beat the Skeleton King as a naked lvl 1 witch doctor.

This should answer your questions regarding game difficulty. The dude addresses normal difficulty at the very beggining of the video.
