Looks like I got mine yesterday at 4:06pm.

Guess I get to figure out whether I want to put the pre-order on my Christmas list or not.

I'm waiting. Granted it's early on in the beta, but I haven't seen anything that forces me to go out and spend $60+ on a pre-order.

Yea, I tried clicking not logged in and then tried clicking after logging in. No dice.

Here is something to keep all of you fellow Diablo nuts occupied a little longer. If you were like me and spent dozens of hours MFing, you should have no trouble getting these right =D.

You are Deckard Cain, and a weary party has come to you with their bags overflowing with loot. Identify each characters items for them. (Just the name, but bonus points for including %'s and any other mods)

Deckard Cain doesn't have the internet, BTW, so no cheatin!

Unique Cedar Bow
Unique Amulet that at first glance appears to increase her attack speed
Set Scepter
Unique Leather Armor

Assassin has:

Set Tower Shield
Unique Gothic Shield - Hint, this shares a name with the elite version of a gothic shield
Unique Ring that appears to increase her ability to find Magical Items at first clance
Set Heavy Boots - Hint, there are two possibilities for this item, however, she did not find this in a secret level that may or may not exist

Barbarian has:

Unique Maul
Unique Executioner's Sword
Set Sacred Armor
Unique Gauntlets

Druid has:

Set Gauntlets
Unique Shako
Unique Heavy Belt
Set Bone Helm

Necromancer has:

Unique Chain Mail
Unique Mesh Armor
Unique Phase Blade - Hint, there are two possibilities for this, but he found this one on Hell Difficulty Baal, one of the only monsters that can drop this
Unique Grim Helm

Paladin has:

Unique Grand Charm
Unique Gilded Shield
Set Corona
Unique Crown

Sorceress has:

Unique Thunder Maul
Unique Ring that appears to increase her skills by 1 -DUH!
Set Death Mask
Unique Demonhead

wat? D3 is my first Diablo experience, so it has me tempted to go buy the D2 battlechest. Worth it?

Obviously the graphics are a little dated, but yeah well worth it at the price.

Well Kris, that’s a very good question. Let me answer that one for you. Yes. Yes it is.

Ok, seriously though, have you ever seen people gambling at a casino in front of a keno or video poker machine? Stories of people dropping thousands of dollars into the them, not because they enjoy winning, but because they enjoy gambling?

That is really similar to why Diablo has such a strong draw, except you can increase your odds of winning. There is nothing more fun than loading up a sorceress with a ton of gear that increases your % chance to find magic items, (350% is just about perfect, BTW) and destroying Mephisto, Andariel and any other creature you come across with that silver of hope that you will find Vampire Gaze to finish making a character plan that you thought up while you were trying to sleep two weeks ago.

Its all about the items!
