According to them, HBOGo is coming 1Q 2012...but I'll believe it when I see it.
Then again, they say an Arris TOM502 supports DOCSIS 3.0...and it doesn't :
System: ARRIS DOCSIS 2.0 / PacketCable 1.0 Touchstone Telephony Modem HW_REV: 02 VENDOR: Arris Interactive, L.L.C. BOOTR: 5.01 SW_REV: 6.1.72 MODEL: TM502G
So, your mileage may vary... |

 | You would think they would only let people post/answer questions that actually know what they are talking about.
402,502,602,604 are all docsis2
722 and I think it's the wtm852 are docsis3.
You could always just get a d3 modem just for data, and use the mta just for voice. Lots of people have it setup that way, and that's how Comcast did it when they started rolling out d3 speeds before the MTAs were d3. |

icedcornIcedCornPremium join:2007-07-08 Rochester, NH | but if I do that , wouldn't I pay like $10 a month in rental..or do you mean go buy a Docsis 3.0?
Also, right now i'm only getting 18 down (supposed to go to 25 in January)...is there any "better" speed by using a docsis 3.0 at 18? |

| Not faster per se but with the channel bonding your speed would be more apt to be constant. With my older Surfboard modem I was getting my speed but with quite a bit of fluctuations. Once I bough a Surfboard 6100 they were greatly more stable. I picked mine up at Target. |

| I bought a Surfboard 6100 and plugged it in (didn't split the eMTA yet) And I got this lovely page: »209.55.0.191:8080/metrowg/pages/···ntro.jsp
Do I really need a freaking truck roll to get a modem to work? Seriously?
(obviously I'm back on the eMTA now) |

| I called them since chat was offline.
I keep getting asked about the HSD address, the model and they keep trying to provision it but i'm not having any luck.
I sent CS a message since chat was down. In the meantime, I'm back on internet using the eMTA.
That was an almost 2 hours that didn't work out very well. I sleep now |

| reply to icedcorn I sent messages since chat was offline. Color me very impressed when I got a call from MC at 8:45 this morning running troubleshooting. The CSR was great -- once he knew I spoke the language I didn't feel babied (but if it was my wife calling, I think that was good). We got it up and running after a few provisioning attempts.
I figured I'd have to call again and wait. I was very impressed with their customer service.
And I am using a Docsis 3.0 modem and waiting for 25 down . |
