A 17 GB cap is alot better than the 5 GB caps the cellular-based wireless providers have. Yet they are never criticized on this site for "ridiculous low caps", but that's something said repeatedly about the much higher satellite caps (?).
Wireless providers are always criticized for for their caps, for mutliple reasons, here on this site. But mobile 3G/4G currently isn't considered a main source to the internet, but a secondary source. Satellite is the main internet provider for people who have it. If anything else becomes available, satellite gets dropped in a hurry. It is inferior in every way to dsl, cable, and WISP's.
If Verizion and others do end up offering "fixed 4G LTE" in attractive and affordable packages in rural areas, it will eat satellite broadband's lunch and then wait for the meal to settle before taking a dump on it.
