paintrefTrainPlane Simulation Addict join:2003-02-21 Houston, TX | Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion help... Where can I find some torches?
It never fails when I am in a dark sewer or dungeon, the last torch I have goes out.
Where is the best area to get some? Noticed shops don't carry them. |

I would assume some are in towns too. I dont use them so not sure. I assume it takes a valuable hand slot to hold it.
Go start the Magic college quest and youll never have to look for another torch again. -- You the only one on? | Does anyone know if this socom headset is stereo? | Gimme that $20! | I'm glad we are having suck a great turnout. | carlson why you go swim in lake michigan|news to me and we have no newsletter. I would do the magic college if it wasn't for the fact that I am a warrior. Going to try the fighter's guild quests though and see where that leads me. |

paintrefTrainPlane Simulation Addict join:2003-02-21 Houston, TX | Oh..ok, I remember in other older RPGs I have played that magic was limited to magic classes only (IE Mage, Archmage etc), I assumed this was the case when I started Oblivion, but looks like I assumed wrong
I will have to try this then.
Thanks for the tip. |

2 edits | kill guards at night they always have torches on them.
you could also go into options and turn the brightness up I usually do this for games like assassins creed and TES, but this takes away from the gameplay aspect.
getting the spell nighteye is probably the easiest solution like stated earlier in the thread, besides torches take up unnecessary inventory space anyways. |

Looks like the only viable option is to go to Mages College and learning the nighteye spell. Do have some nighteye potions though, so that might be a start. |

 | reply to paintref I've been collecting torches by the score everywhere I go. I can't seem to get rid of them. Not sure where you are going to not get torches. Explore caves and other goblin locations. Maybe you have to do it at night for them to carry the torches. All I know is torches are definitely not an issue for me. |

 | reply to paintref Learn the spell night-eye or get a potion or trinket with it on it. Never have to worry about a torch ever again. |

My character is level 46 (a khajiit himself) and has not once ran into a potion or a trinket of night-eye. |

 | reply to paintref Deja Vu has the answer...I found myself looking for torches like you...then came across the spell and haven't spent another second looking for torches...I wasn't sure exactly where I came across the spell, but sounds like he's got the info... |

 | reply to paintref or you could just turn up your gamma on the tv. what I ended up doing, could not see a darn thing and got sick of torch and shooting the light spell everywhere. |
