[DSL] Slow Speeds After New Modem

I have had my own modem for years and for the past 2 months it just stops working, I called DSLX support and they sent me a new modem, It worked fine and speeds where normal for my plan, but for the last 2 weeks it has been really slow, I did a speed test and the results were 295/566, my plan is 3000/768 so its off a bit, I changed back to my old modem and ran a test and got 545/586, better but not what I should Have.

Please Help With This

I've checked your lines and although I see a problem with you being profiled slightly below your full bit rate, it would not be enough to account for your speed tests showing 295kbps. I'll have a tech contact you so that we can troubleshoot further.

Fixed, Speeds are faster than I have ever had


Not as good as my mobil broadband though

Spoke to soon, Now this is what i have been talking about.

My speed with the new Modem sent to me from DSLX


My old modem the needs to be rebooted once a day (reason for new modeM)

Great Tech Support, They want me to run some tests to check my line & modem, they said thet would call me back when I was at homen after 8:00 PM, been 3 days and they called once at 7:15PM, its the New modem that is the issue,This is what I get with the "New Modem" they sent me

Modems usually don't go bad nearly that often, and your upstream is still looking fine; I suspect something else (other than the modem) is going on here. I'll have a tech look into this for you.
