skybeam sells the 5mb knowing up front they cannot deliver due to bandwidth- only get 1mb or less. they had the nerve recently to raise rates saying that the revenue would be used for improved service! how is this isp not running an illegal operation- selling one thing , delivering less? imagine gas station giving you 1 qt and charging for a gallon- they would be shutdown by the State- I would think given the $ and number of customers cheated, this would be a huge bonanza for class action as suggested by others. RICO act-, the statute is sufficiently broad to encompass illegal activities relating to any enterprise affecting interstate or foreign commerce.
As of 2/2/2012 I have switched suppliers. For anyone in the Ravenna, Bonham, Honeygrove, Telephone, area I would suggest Zulu from Paris. They are actually delivering what you pay for!!!
