[Eng] Videotron Internet cancellation procedure?
Currently on Business High Speed Internet, month-to-month, no package deal. Called today (9th December), first guy said I could cancel any time and I said to go ahead and cancel it at the end of my billing cycle (17th December). He then went off to talk to someone else for 10 minutes, 2nd guy came on, read me a bunch of stuff, which I had to reply "yes". One of the clauses was that I was to give 30 days notice and therefore will be charged another invoice, which would carry me into 17th January, at which point I would "ask" for a refund of 8 days!
I asked if there's anything we could do about the 30 days. He simply said I could return my modem to a videotron store and my subscription would be terminated then and there. I did that, but the store person told me that I actually bought the modem back in 2003.
While I wait to talk to someone on Monday. Does any one have any advice or comment about this?
