The moment a feature like this gets implemented, people get to shut down "their" topics as soon as people start disagreeing with them. It's ridiculous. I'd also like to point out that being the first to start a thread in no way indicates ownership of the discussion or any special privileges.

When you replied that, who are you talking to?
I use the auto quote feature so people know who I am talking to.
And just to be clear with what I said in my earlier post in this thread: I object to the idea that the OP suggested and I agree with silentlooker that quote:

Perhaps a test could be done on the dev/null message base ONLY to show just how bad it would be if it was global.. (Allow thread starters ON THAT BASE to control thier threads) |

Well on ONE SITE i am on (An SMF site) they have 1 base setup so EVERY MEMBER GROUP can do anything (Sticky,delete,edit,etc) and its quite interesting!
