 | RANT: Itunes is the Biggest Piece of Shit Itunes is the biggest piece of SHIT ever perpetuated upon mankind. I curse the day I bought an Ipod.
There, I feel marginally better! |

 | I wish I would have bought ANY mp3 player other than the Ipod. What a POS!!!!! |

PS - Itunes is terrible. Why is it that Apple can design such wonderful hardware and software (iOS), but produce such a pile of garbage known as iTunes? |

| reply to Derspankster Shouldn't have taken long to figure that out, and they do everything they can to make it hard for 3rd parties to make an alternative to simply add music and videos. -- Moe, I need your advice

It's bad on the Mac side, but it's not worth fighting. Just give up and learn to love it.
On the PC side, I'm not very familiar with it. Everything I've seen or heard leads me to believe it's much, much worse on the PC side though.
Sorry. -- You Can't Kill Rock 'n' Roll! |

 | reply to redxii Itunes on a PC is horrid! Apple can't seem to grasp the concept of "sync", and that it should be a two way process. Not the way Apple implements it, as a one way process... |

| reply to Derspankster I had an iPod years ago. I could plug it into any computer and add any music I wanted. That was great! Seriously!
Then I got an iPhone 4. If I plug it into a different computer and I want to add 1 song it tells me I need to erase all my music. I eventually figured out a workaround, but WTF. -- PRescott7-2097 |

It needs to be gutted and redone. |

 | reply to Derspankster I think you meant to say 'perpetrated' and yes I agree. It's sucky.

 | reply to Derspankster Apple still hasn't fixed that Quicktime habit of grabbing all the file formats. I tried to get my boss's Ipod working, had to install Quicktime and Quicktime promptly grabbed every damn media file. I had to go and reassociate all the graphic files with Adobe, then find and reassociate all the audio. That was the biggest hassle as we had professional audio software to deal with radio commercials.
I HATE software that freaking "assumes"
I also use a Sandisk Sansa. It uses a micro card. I don't need special software to shove MP3s on it. |

CylonRedPremium,MVM join:2000-07-06 Bloom County | Media Player does the same thing as does other programs. Media Player and the other programs allows you to set up associations though - usually in the install process. Itunes does not do that? -- Brian

I don't know of anything for the iPhone though...
I don't hate iTunes like I used to though. |

 | reply to Derspankster I too despise iTunes. My wife has an iPhone that requires me (one last time now that iOS5 has OTA udpates) to install iTunes to update her phone.
I dislike it so much that I make a disk image of my PC hard drive, install iTunes, update her cursed phone, then re-image the drive.
I don't trust iTunes uninstall to undo the damage. Her next phone will be Android. -- Lifespeed |

 | reply to Derspankster ITunes is actually derived from the Greek word "psoli". Meaning: Songs sang from the village retard. |
