Here is a trace from Windstream.

Level3 here takes it to Wasington DC where it then hands it over to Megapath.

Also saw this on »www.peeringdb.com/view.php?asn=4565

"Megapath is currently merging with Covad (AS18566) and Speakeasy (AS23504)"

So routing is gonna be changing.

This has nothing to do with Comcast. Megapath/COVAD/Speakeasy (LOL!) doesn't peer with Level3 in Atlanta.

Easily verified with Level3's looking glass.

Keep in mind, Level3 is a Tier I so it's Megapath who is paying for connectivity to Level3. They're choosing not to, so your beef is with Megapath.
